There are 3 ways to get a control file for the Leica XML
Use the Leica XML import to import the points into the drawing and then manually shift and rotate to the correct datum. The Import wil save the XML as an RW5 during this process.
Use the Leica XML import to import the points and save that file as an RW5 in the process when prompted.
Then go and open Stringer Connect to read the newly saved RW5 file. Under the Control Options tab at the top you can then add the Control needed to shift and rotate onto the new bearing and co-ordinate datum required.
Use the Leica XML import to import the points and save as an RW5 when prompted. Shift and rotate the data in the drawing manually.
Once you are happy with the changes that you have made to your comtrol in the drawing, you can then reopen the RW5 in Stringer Connect. Under the Control Options tab at the top, use the Get Control From AutoCAD option. This will add the co-ordinates of the points in the drawing that have the same Point Numbers in the RW5.
Save the RW5
Close Stringer Connect and opena new Drawing
Reduce the new RW5 into the drawing.
