But before you do the Define Query there are a few things you need to do.
- Make sure the original drawing has been exported to Vanilla AutoCAD - Big Blue A - Export Civil3D Drawing - Open the exported Vanilla AutoCAD drawing and make sure everything is there. - Any points that were Civil3D COGO points will then be exploded back to AutoCAD Blocks - In the Settings Tab in the Toolspace - right click on the drawing name and select edit Drawing Settings set the unit and zones in here - this should be set to PCG94 (or whatever the co-ord system you require) - Save the drawing. - Exit out of the drawing.
Open a new drawing and make sure you do the following - In the Settings Tab in the Toolspace - right click on the drawing name and select Edit Drawing Settings. Set the unit and zones in here - this should be set to MGA-55 (or whatever you need it to be)
After setting the coordinate systems to the two files, these are the steps to use. -Type in command line MAPWSPACE - select ON (image 1)
-Click on the Map Settings tab (image 2)
-Right-click on Drawings (image 2) - select Attach - navigate to and select file you want to transfer from
-Right-click on Current Query (image 2) - select Define - Query type = And, click on the Location button (image 3) - Boundary Type = All, click OK (image 4)
