CSD Siteworks – Data Share

For multi stage surveys, such as construction surveys, it is common to have multiple drawings containing a topographical survey surface relevant to that particular time.  

The Data Share tools allow you to share surface data between different drawings.  When you share data from one drawing to another, the receiving drawing receives a read-only version of the surface.  This can be styled as desired in the receiving drawing and you can generate volume reports and volume surfaces.  Edit control is maintained in the source drawing only.

In the video below, we go through the process of combining a surveyed bund wall constructed over an existing site.  The bund wall was created in a separate drawing to the original survey.

• Use Read Share to include the source drawing surface into a receiving drawing

• Edit the source drawing and apply updated surface data to the receiving drawing
