Stringer V24 supports the Autodesk 2024 platform applications and includes workflow enhancements to improve efficiency. Key new features and improvements include
- A Stringer Topo Toolspace providing direct access to your survey data. From the Toolspace you can edit settings, import and reduce survey data, as well as create and manage point groups, points, survey strings and surfaces. This new dockable Toolspace palette adds the benefit of contextual access to all key Stringer functionality via a simple right click on an object in the Toolspace, bypassing navigation across the ribbon interface.
- Convert to Points command, providing users with the ability to convert text, mtext, blocks (including attrbuted text) into COGO Points. Great for converting old survey data to use for breakline/linework creation/editing and production output
- A new Update All button to update points, point groups, survey strings, group tables and surfaces via a single button click.
- Ability to import Leica XML files as either raw observations or using the coordinates in the drawing
- Stringer Defaults form to allow you to pre-set the default Point Code Set and Survey String settings to apply when importing numeric and alphanumeric point data.
We’ve also made improvements and applied fixes in response to our own internal testing and in response to customer reported issues.

Stringer Toolspace
The Stringer Toolspace provides access to just about everything you used to find across the Stringer/Survey ribbon interface. The Toolspace can be docked, anchored, resized and repositioned like other palettes in your CAD application.
The Toolspace is logically arranged with object groupings (such as Point Groups and Surfaces) which can be expanded with a single click to expose individual objects. You can right click on any object group or object to run create, edit, delete and manage commands. Expand through Survey Strings to see individual points in your string, arranged in the connection order and with right click actions to apply linework parameters and other edits.
